Crop Hunger Walk is Sunday, October 27th at 2 PM.
Avent Ferry United Methodist Church believes that no one in this world should be hungry. That’s why the CROP Hunger Walk is more than just a yearly gathering or event for me. It is our chance to help families who are struggling with hunger and concerned about where they’ll find their next meal. The Walk is how we take action to make sure that one more person has enough to eat.
We want to help as many people as we can in my community and around the world and would love your support. Please join us the fight against hunger by making a donation! The steps we take – and the funds we raise – support programs that provide meals and other immediate support, as well as long-lasting solutions to hunger. We support this Greater Triangle Crop Hunger Walk in memory of Rachel Gooding. Please support our mission. You can join our Avent Ferry Crop Walk in memory of Rachel Gooding in the link below. Please help us reach our Goal!

Please go to this LINK and check out the opportunities to help us on the weekend of the Walk, before the WALK, during the WALK and after the WALK.
If in the past you have walked but feel that is too much for you now, there are ways you can help than walking three miles. Most are not strenuous and what we need more than anything else are WILLING HANDS!
If you have not registered for this year’s Walk which on Sunday, October 27 it is time do so. Please go here to do so. If your team has not been registered yet, please ask your Team Captain to register the team so you can join it. When you register for the Walk, why not go ahead and make a donation…and then send your page URL to your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc, and ask them to donate to support your participation in the Walk. We have a large goal this year, $65,000, and it will take all of us working together to make this goal.
