Coming of the Light:………………………………………..

Greetings:………………………….….Pastor Steven

Opening Prayer: ……………………………..Chris M.

Prayer of Confession:
O, God of all the ages, we come before You, in this place
and time. We know that Jesus called all people, from the littlest ones to the eldest just as He calls each and every
one of us. Forgive us we pray when we let our own years
of age or the age of others get the way of serving You. Teach us to share what we have been given with the
wonder and gratitude of a child for we pray in the name
of Your Child, Jesus. Amen.

Assurance Of Pardon:
Leader: God forgives us. Be at Peace
People: We shall all be one in Christ, one in life together.
Praise to God who created us,
Praise to God who accepts us,
Praise to God who sends us into the world.

Opening Hymns:“Jesus Calls Us#398 UMH
Words Cecil Frances Alexander, 1852, Music: William H. Jude, 1974

1. Jesus call us o’er the tumult of our life’s wild, restless sea;
day by day his sweet voice soundeth, saying,
“Christian, follow me!”

2. As of old the apostles heard it by the Galilean lake, turned
from home and toil and kindred, leaving
all for Jesus’ sake.

3. Jesus calls us from the worship of the vain world’s golden
store, from each idol that would keep us, saying,
“Christian, love me more!”

4. In our joys and in our sorrows, days of toil and hours of
ease, still he calls, in cares and pleasures,
“Chirstian, love me more than these!”

5. Jesus call us! By thy mercies, Savior, may we hear thy
call, give our hearts to thine obedience, serve and
love thee best of all.

Here I Am, Lord#593 UMH

1. I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save.
I have made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

2. I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them. They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my word to them. Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

3. I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them. My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.”

1. Come! Live in the light!
Shine with joy and the love of the Lord!
We are called to be light for the kingdom,
to live in the freedom of the city of God!

We are called to act with justice,
we are called to love tenderly,
we are called to serve one another,
to walk humbly with God!

2. Come! Open your heart!
Show your mercy to all those in fear!
We are called to be hope for the hopeless
so all hatred and blindness will be no more!

We are called to act with justice,
we are called to love tenderly,
we are called to serve one another,
to walk humbly with God!

Sing! Sing a new song!
Sing of that great day when all will be one!
God will reign, and we’ll walk with each other as
Sisters and brothers united in love!

We are called to act with justice,
We are called to love tenderly,
We are called to serve one another,
To walk humble with God!
