The tomb is dark, but empty
The one you are looking for has overcome the darkness
The stone has been rolled away
The one you are looking for has overcome death
The burial clothes are put aside
The one you are looking for is alive!
Christ is Risen!
Christ is Risen Indeed!
Let us worship our Risen Savior!

Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where’s thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!
4. Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
5. Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!
6. King of glory, soul of bliss, Alleluia!

Hymn: …“Crown Him with Many Crowns”.Congregation with Handbell Choir #327 UMH Arr. Philip L. Roberts, © 2009
1. Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing of him who died for thee,
and hail him as thy matchless King though all eternity.
2. Crown him the Lord of life, who triumphed o’er the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife for those he came to save.
His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high,
who died, eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die.
3. Crown him the Lord of peace, whose power a scepter sways
from pole to pole, that wars may cease, and all be prayer and praise. His reign shall know no end, and round his pierced
feet fair flowers of paradise extend their fragrance ever sweet.
4. Crown him the Lord of love; behold his hands and side,
those wounds, yet visible above in beauty glorified.
All hai, Redeemer, hail! For thou hast died for me;
thy praise and glory shall not fail throughout eternity.
Gospel Lesson:………….Mark 16:1-8…….Pastor Steven
When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. They had been saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” When they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back.
As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man, dressed in a white robe, sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him, just as he told you.” So they went out and fled from the tomb, for terror and amazement had seized them; and they said nothing to any one, for they were afraid.

Closing Hymn:……“Up from the Grave He Arose” #322 UMH
Words and Music: Robert Lowry, 1874
1.Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior,
waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Up from the grave he arose, with a mighty triumph
O’er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He
arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
2.Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior;
vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Up from the grave he arose, with a mighty triumph
O’er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He
arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
3.Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior,
He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!
Refrain
Up from the grave he arose, with a mighty triumph
O’er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He
arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
