Opening Hymns:…“Christ Is the World’s Light” #188 UMH
Words: Fred Pratt Green, 1968 Music: Paris Antiphoner, 1681
Words © 1969 Hope Publishing Co.
1. Christ is the world’s light, Christ and none other;
born in our darkness, he became our brother. If
we have seen him, we have seen the Father:
Glory to God on High!
2. Christ is the world’s peace, Christ and none other;
no one can serve him and despise another. Who else
unites us, one in God the Father?
Glory to God on High!
3. Christ is the world’s life, Christ and none other, sold
once for silver, murdered here, our brother; he,
who redeems us, reigns with God the Father:
Glory to God on High!
4. Give God the glory, God and none other; give God
the glory, Spirit, Son, and Father; give God the
glory, God with us, my brother:
Glory to God on high!
“Only Trust Him” #337 UMH
Words: John H. Stockton, 1874 Music: John H. Stockton, 1869
1. Come, every soul by sin oppressed, there’s
mercy with the Lord; and he will surely give you
rest, by trusting in his word.
Refrain
Only trust him, only trust him, only trust him now.
He will save you, he will save you,
he will save you now.
2. For Jesus shed his precious blood rich blessings
to bestow; plunge into the crimson flood that
washes bright as snow.
Refrain
Only trust him, only trust him, only trust him now.
He will save you, he will save you,
he will save you now.
3. Yes, Jesus is the truth, the way that leads you
into rest; believe in him without delay, and you
are fully blest.
Refrain
Only trust him, only trust him, only trust him now.
He will save you, he will save you,
he will save you now.
4. Come then and join this holy band, and on
to glory go, to swell in that celestial land where
joys immortal flow.
Refrain
Only trust him, only trust him, only trust him now.
He will save you, he will save you,
he will save you now.

Hymn of Preparation:….“My Jesus, I Love Thee” #172 UMH
Words: William R. Feathersone, 1864 Music: Adoniram J. Gordon, 1876
1. My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou are mine; for
thee all the follies of sin I resign. My gracious
Redeemer, my Savior art thou; if ever I loved thee,
my Jesus, ‘tis now.
2. I love thee because thou hast first loved me, and
purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree; I love thee
for wearing the thorns on thy brow; if ever I loved thee,
my Jesus, ‘tis now.
3. In mansions of glory and endless delight, I’ll ever
adore thee in heaven so bright; I’ll sing with the
glittering crown on my brow; if ever I loved thee,
my Jesus, ‘tis now.
Gospel Lesson:………….“John 14:1-14”…………Melanie B.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.”
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves.
Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.
I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it.

take our hearts; we love you.
Take our lives, O Father,

Words and Music: Albert E. Brumley

1.Some glad morning when this life is o’er,
I’ll fly away; to a home on God’s celestial shore,
I’ll fly away.

I’ll fly away, O glory, I’ll fly away. When I die,
hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away.
2.When the shadows of this life have gone,
I’ll fly away; like a bird from prison bars has flown,
I’ll fly away.
Refrain
I’ll fly away, O glory, I’ll fly away. When I die,
hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away.
3.Just a few more weary days and then,
I’ll fly away; to a land where joys shall never end,
I’ll fly away.
Refrain
I’ll fly away, O glory, I’ll fly away. When I die,
hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away.
