Opening Hymns:…..“I Come with Joy” UMH #617
Words: Brian Wren, 1968 Music: The Southern Harmon, 1835;
Words © 1971 Hope Publishing Co.; harm. © The United
Methodist Publishing House
1.I come with joy to meet my Lord, forgiven, loved
and free, in awe and wonder to recall his life laid down
for me, his life laid down for me.
2.I come with Christians far and near to find, as
all are fed, the new community of love in Christ’s
communion bread, in Christ’s communion bread.
3.As Christ breaks bread and bids us share, each proud
division ends. The love that made us makes us one, and strangers now are friends, and strangers now are friends.
4.And thus with joy we meet our Lord. His presence,
always near, is in such friendship better known; we see and praise him here, we see and praise him here.
5.Together met, together bound, we’ll go our different
ways, and as his people in the world, we’ll live and speak
his praise, we’ll live and speak his praise.

Refrain
Take our bread, we ask you;
take our hearts; we love you.
Take our lives, O Father,
we are yours, we are yours.
1.Yours as we stand at the table
you set; yours as we eat the bread
our hearts can’t forget. We are the
sign of your life with us yet,
we are yours, we are yours.
Refrain
Take our bread, we ask you;
take our hearts; we love you.
Take our lives, O Father,
we are yours, we are yours.
2.Your holy people standing washed in
your blood, Spirit filled yet hungry we
await your food. We are poor, but we’ve
brought ourselves the best we could;
we are yours, we are yours.
Refrain
Take our bread, we ask you;
take our hearts; we love you.
Take our lives, O Father,
we are yours, we are yours.

Words: Ragan Courtney Music: Buryl Red
©Broadman Press; assigned to Van Ness Press, Inc.
1.In remembrance of me, eat this bread.
In remembrance of me, drink this wine.
In remembrance of me, pray for the
time when God’s own will is done.
2.In remembrance of me, heal the sick.
In remembrance of me, feed the poor.
In remembrance of me, open the
door and let your neighbors in,
Let them in.
Take, eat, and be comforted; drink
and remember, too, that this is my
body and precious blood shed for
you, shed for you.
3.In remembrance of me, search for
truth. In remembrance of me, always
love. In remembrance of me, don’t
look above, but in your heart, look for
God. Do this in remembrance of me.

#3168 W&S
Words and Music: Barbara Hamm © 2008 Barbara Hamm
1.Come to the table of grace. Come to the table
of grace. This is God’s table; it’s not yours or mine.
Come to the table of grace.
2.Come to the table of peace…
3.Come to the table of love…
4.Come to the table of joy…
Old Testament Lesson…Habakkuk 1:1-4;2:1-4 …..Melrose D.
1:1 The oracle that the prophet Habakkuk saw.
1:2 O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not listen? Or cry to you “Violence!” and you will not save? 1:3 Why do you make me see wrong-doing and look at trouble? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. 1:4 So the law becomes slack and justice never prevails. The wicked surround the righteous– therefore judgment comes forth perverted.
2:1 I will stand at my watchpost, and station myself on the rampart; I will keep watch to see what he will say to me, and what he will answer concerning my complaint.
2:2 Then the LORD answered me and said: Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so that a runner may read it. 2:3 For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay. 2:4 Look at the proud! Their spirit is not right in them, but the righteous live by their faith.

CONFESSION & PARDON
Pastor Steven: Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart. We have failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love, we have not loved our neighbors, and we have not heard the cry of the needy. Forgive us, we pray. Free us for joyful obedience, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
All pray in silence.
Pastor Steven: Hear the good news:
Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God’s love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
All: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
All: Glory to God. Amen.
THE PEACE
Let us offer one another signs of reconciliation and love.
All, including the pastor, exchange signs and words of God’s peace by crossing hands, wave to one another due to social distancing guidelines.
Pastor Steven: The Lord be with you.
All: And also with you.
Pastor Steven: Lift up your hearts. The pastor may lift hands and keep them raised.
All: We lift them up to the Lord.
Pastor Steven: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Pastor Steven: And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Pastor Steven: In union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
All: Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.
Pastor Steven: All honor and glory is yours, almighty Father, now and forever.
All: Amen.
