YOUTH SUNDAY — OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR YOUTH!! Let’s get together on Sunday, May 6th immediately after worship and help our Youth make plans for the rest of the year. Give them an opportunity to grow in discipleship and have events to share with one another when they return. On May 6th at 12:15 PM, there [...] The annual meeting for Avent West (Kid’s Café) is this Wednesday, February 1, in the Fellowship Hall at Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church with Dinner at 5:45 followed by the meeting at 6:30. Dinner donation is $7. Guests include representatives from Jr. League and our own Ray High who will receive an award. Anyone in our congregation [...] Enjoy the Cakewalk, Basket Bonanza, Face Painting, Wii Games, Bouncy Moonwalk, Silent Auction, Dress-up Photo Booth, Cornhole & Ladder and Horseshoes. Event takes place on Saturday Oct 23rd from 3pm to 7pm in the fellowship hall. There will also be a chicken dinner at 6pm. (There will be a vegetarian lasagna [...] The North Carolina Conference chapter of Methodist Federation For Social Action (MFSA) is sponsoring the 2nd annual Jack Crum Conference on Prophetic Ministry on Saturday April 10th from 9:00-3:00 PM at AFUMC. The keynote speaker will be Bishop Charlene Kammerer of the Virginia Conference. The title of the conference is “Here I Stand – I [...] The 2nd annual International Dinner and Variety Show is going to be on April 24th 6-9 PM. We are looking for people to share their talent at the variety show! Music, dance, comedy, instrumental…possibilities are endless. We are also looking for people to donate international dishes for the dinner.
