Plan to Come to the Worship Service
Worship is at 11:00AM on Sundays. Each service includes a sermon, music, and Communion on the first Sunday of every month (all are welcome for Communion). On your first visit, it’s best to arrive about 15 minutes early, or 20 minutes early if you need to drop a child of at the nursery. Contemporary praise music (called commUNITY Worship) starts at 10:40AM and ends at 10:55AM. Sunday School is also provided for children, youth and adults from 9:45AM to 10:30AM.
“What Should I Wear?” We know you might be worried about wearing the right thing when you come to church; we invite you to come as you are. Whether you are more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, a blouse and khakis, or a suit or dress, you’ll fit right in at Avent Ferry.

Arrive and Get Parked
Use our Location page to map your way to our campus. Call our office and leave a message if you need assistance. Someone will call you back. Notice that the entrance to our parking lot is on Crest Rd., just a few yards from where it intersects with Avent Ferry Road. Arriving 15 minutes before the service starts will make things easier. Follow the on-campus signs to the “Sanctuary” to come to Worship.

Find a Place for Yourself and Your Kids
When you come in the front doors of the Sanctuary building, you’ll get a warm greeting. Go to the desk to your right called the “Welcome Center”. Volunteers are ready to answer your questions before and after the service. If you have a nursery-age child, find out how to get to the nursery where you’ll meet our Childcare Staff.

Celebrate Through Worship
Greeters will welcome you into the worship center and give you a program outlining the service. After the announcements and the first hymn, everyone is invited to stand and greet one another with handshakes. You will not be singled out in worship as a visitor. We do provide you with an opportunity to write down your address, phone, and/or email so we can welcome you better. And we have a small gift we’d like to share with you to thank you for visiting. Preaching, music, mission and fun make worship at Avent Ferry a great experience.

Let Us Help You
If you would like to talk about a personal concern or something you heard in the service, the pastor can be reached after the service or through the office during the week. If you plan on coming back – and we hope you will – you might try exploring Sunday School or other fellowship and Bible Study groups we offer.
