Prelude: How Great Is Our God with Praise To The Lord,
The Almighty……………………………………….Greg D.
arranged by Carol Tornquist (c) 2004 Alletrop Music
Coming of the Light:………………………………………..
Greetings:……………………………………….Pastor Steven
.
Opening Prayer: …………………………..…….…Diane C.
Jesus said, “Come unto me all you who are weary and I will give
you rest.”
We long for our souls to rest in the peace which Jesus gives.
Jesus also said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.”
We come today to learn from the God of all knowledge.
Jesus said, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
As we come to worship, let us cast our burdens on the
Savior and find that he bears our burdens and lightens
Our load.
Jesus invites us to “Come.” It is our joy to say yes to
his invitation.
Opening Hymns:“Across the Lands” #3032 W&S
Words and Music: Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
© 2002 Thankyou Music
1. You’re the Word of God the Father from before the
world began; every star and every planet has been
fashioned by your hand. All creation holds together by
the power of your voice. Let the skies declare your
glory; let the land and seas rejoice.
You’re the author of creation, you’re the Lord of everyone,
and your cry of love rings out across the lands.
2. Yet you left the gaze of angels, came to seek and save
the lost and exchanged the joy of heaven for the anguish
of a cross. With a prayer you fed the hungry, with a
word You calmed the sea; yet how silently you suffered,
that the guilty may go free.
You’re the author of creation, you’re the Lord of everyone,
and your cry of love rings out across the lands.
3. With a shout you rose victorious, wrestling victory from
the grave and ascended into heaven, leading captives in
your way. Now you stand before the Father, interceding
for your own; from each tribe and tongue and nation
you are leading sinners home.
You’re the author of creation, you’re the Lord of everyone,
and your cry of love rings out across the lands.

Gospel Lesson:……….Mark 6:30-34, 53-56…Diane C.
The apostles gathered around Jesus, and told him all that they had done and taught. He said to them, “Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. And they went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves. Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they hurried there on foot from all the towns and arrived ahead of them. As he went ashore, he saw a great crowd; and he had compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.
When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored the boat. When they got out of the boat, people at once recognized him, and rushed about that whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was.
And wherever he went, into villages or cities or farms, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak; and all who touched it were healed.
