Prelude ………………………………..Gregory Dixon

Call to Worship……………………….Pastor Gina & congregation

Christ is risen!
Christ is risen indeed!
Though we find ourselves isolated
in homes, apartments, and residential places,
yet, we would listen to the birds singing,
reminding us that the whole creation
rejoices in the love of our God.
Though we cannot reach out and touch
our friends and neighbors,
we would rejoice that Jesus is in our midst,
holding out hands of grace and hope to us!
Though we have to stand at a safe distance
from others, whispering hello through masks,
we know that the Spirit is all around us,
breathing peace on us in these moments,
surrounding us with grace and hope.

1st Song/HymnUp From the Grave He Arose  #322-R

Gregory Dixon, music director/pianist, accompanying Marcel Pietrus song leader/soloist.

1 Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior,
waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Refrain:
Up from the grave he arose,
with a mighty triumph o’er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

2 Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior;
vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord! [Refrain]

3 Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior;
he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord! [Refrain]

Prayer Concerns: Lord, in your mercy. Hear our prayer.
If you are using this order of worship at home but not joining in the video/Livestream, use this time to pray the Lord’s Prayer and then reflect on the scripture for today. If you would like a copy of today’s sermon, please email or text Pastor Gina and she will email it to you after the online worship.

For our online worshipers, skip to the Hymn of Preparation before the sermon.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.

Hymn of Preparation: This Is a Day of New Beginnings #383-R

1 This is a day of new beginnings,
time to remember and move on,
time to believe what love is bringing,
laying to rest the pain that’s gone.

2 For by the life and death of Jesus,
God’s mighty Spirit, now as then,
can make for us a world of difference,
as faith and hope are born again.

3 Then let us, with the Spirit’s daring,
step from the past and leave behind
our disappointment, guilt, and grieving,
seeking new paths, and sure to find

4 Christ is alive, and goes before us
to show and share what love can do.
This is a day of new beginnings;
our God is making all things new.

5 In faith we’ll gather round the table
to taste and share what love can do.
This is a day of new beginnings;
our God is making all things new.
