Grounds Workday, Saturday November 7th

From the Landscape and Grounds Committee:

You are invited to join with a joyful group and help enhance the church grounds as we begin the next phase of renovating our church landscape.  We will gladly fit your skills and abilities to the many opportunities — and offer instruction as needed.  A joyful attitude is all that is required; our team will even lead with music:  singing, whistling, or whatever works to keep our spirits up as we share in the fellowship of serving our church.

I will provide 7 shovels (round point are best for our work), 5 Pulaskis (fire axes that are similar to a small mattocks), 2 mattocks, 2 garden rakes, loppers, and other supplies — but you can also bring your own garden tools.  Work gloves are recommended, but not required.

I will also provide some juice, fruit and snacks at 8:30, and I will buy lunch at about noon for those who stay the course.  Bring your own water bottle, but we will provide some other beverages.

Assemble for instructions, etc. at 8:30
Work from 9:00 to noonish planting, moving and renovating along with preparing additional planting areas.
12:30 Lunch
1:00 – 2:00 Finishing up loose ends and packing up

Potluck, Sunday August 30th

Please plan on staying after worship on Sunday, August 30 to enjoy a celebration of the new school year and to welcome our new intern and associate minister. Every good celebration includes food, so bring a dish to pass and stay to enjoy the potluck. Meet our intern, Dana Caldwell, and Rev. Damion Quaye, our associate minister. Connect with your old friends and make some new ones as we eat, fellowship, and give thanks for the blessings of a new school year and new voices in ministry.
